This post has been written as a belated part of ChicagoNow’s “Blogapalooz-Hour: Volume XXX.” A flood of posts went live last night at 10 p.m. sharp, as a “Blogapalooz-Hour” is a blitz to publish a post in 60 minutes or less, but I am a little late to the party. The reason I’m contributing a post late is because of the passion I have for this prompt sent by ChicagoNow’s editor Jimmy Greenfield:
“Write about something you find beautiful that you feel others may not understand”
So I am going to write and post–in 60 minutes or less!–about Jesus, because he is my all in all, my everything, Yeshua! Encountering Him has changed my life, and it is my hope that, instead of rambling on and on myself, these Christian music artists (below) might be able to describe Jesus’ beauty to you, because all of these songs have deeply impacted me or carried me along in one way or another during my walk with God. Some of them are more “obvious” than others in answering the prompt above, but I hope in one way or another, you will leave this blog post changed as a result of some of the words and music you hear. Also, let me know if I left any wonderful songs about God’s beauty out–I don’t want to miss a thing when it comes to encountering God in this way!:
